It’s actually pretty funny to think that you are going to play in…Luxembourg !
Don’t know why, but I always had that feeling.
Of all the beautiful countries, continents, seas and lands, deserts and storms, mountains or rice fields that our little blue paradise has to offer, delivered with warmth and even sometimes tenderness, what pops up in your mind when you think of…Luxembourg ?
Well, I guess Riesling wine is one thing. Money, banks, business and I guess sometimes, surely when money is involved, dirty tricks are another. A kingdom also, if I’m not mistaken. Maybe some « cheaper than home » exotic thrills like … cigarettes, gasoline, alcohol…and taxes.
But: Landscapes ? Architecture ? History ? Writers ? Movie makers ? Athletes ?
Car factories and/or brands ? Name of the National Airline ? Do they play football there ? Or Rugby ? Or hate sports, as their (see above) cheap thrills might suggest ?  Do they watch French TV ? Or German ? Or… ?
Does anybody ever go there…on holiday ? And could anybody name , let’s say, 3 cities… in this country ? Do they have a TGV there. Or do they travel by helicopter ? Do they vote ? Do they have social security ? Do they recycle ? Are they Catholics ? Sure the king is, as they always are (forgive me, Queen Mother, and a few others!), but the « Luxembourgeois » ?
Do they watch wrestling ? And can you eat late at night there ? And is there anything typical to find, on their plates ?
Here are a few of the many questions I ask myself when thinking of…Luxembourg.
And I’m pretty sure 98% of us, strangers to this …strange country, don’t know  (and sometimes do I dare to say don’t even bother about)…the answers.
Let me tell you something. We don’t know much about them but: yes, they are human. And yes they cultivate the love of fun. And are truly nice people to hang around with. And yes they look…just like you. And me. Strangely. They also eat, probably. When they don’t drive a disastrously ugly big 4X4 Cherokee. And they sure can drink, as we all have clearly noticed …and practiced .
So let’s just say that they are shy. And let’s just pretend that’s why we don’t know much about them. And therefore we officially declare Luxembourg people as groovy, sexy, clever ones to humanity …Certainly when it comes to enjoy a dEUS gig, anyway. Simply because that’s what they are.
Everybody’s weird, as a well known (at least by this podcast’s readers) singer would say.
Keep it that way.
Honestly.
For the rest, future will tell…maybe.

Holland is, of course, another story.

We all know everything about them. Hum ? Do we ?
Pretty much though. Much more, by the way.
Anyway.
I am pleased to let you think about it, in the comfy of your sofa. Or the luxury of your bubbled creamy bath. Or the sharpness of your lovely car. As long as you have a couple of roll up papers around you and some forbidden delights to be mixed inside the tobacco…I know it will all come back to you. And in a very poetic way for some. In a much more paranoid one for others. You choose.
One thing is a virus, and it’s the truth.
And the truth is : those three Paradiso gigs will stay, and last forever, in « everybody’s weird » minds that were there to witness them.

I think we now have enough memories to live through 2 winters…and one sure to be lovely summer. Don’t forget, temperature is rising. Bad for the Roses. And we all love them.
Don’t we ?
